Hey everyone! Doli here, sharing a bit about an amazing wedding I had the pleasure of filming at The Tinsmith in Madison, WI. This venue is so cool with its industrial-chic vibe, featuring exposed brick walls and massive windows that let in tons of natural light. It’s the perfect spot for a wedding, and I had a blast capturing every moment of Jacob and Brooklyn’s special day.

The Video Booth During Cocktail Hour

One of the most memorable parts of the day was the video booth during cocktail hour. I would wave the sign around, saying, “Video booth, come say hi to the couple!” It was a hit! The guests really got into it, especially since I made it fun by throwing the sign around. It cut through the crowd and noise, making it a lively and engaging activity.

The Ceremony

A funny and unexpected moment happened during the ceremony. The officiant played the shoe game, which is usually done later in the evening. It was like a test to see how well Jacob and Brooklyn knew each other before they got married. He asked questions like who said “I love you” first, who is the better dancer, cook, driver, and who says “I’m sorry” first. It added a really unique twist to the ceremony and had everyone laughing.

Jacob and Brooklyn also had some special touches that made the day even more beautiful. They decorated the ceremony with a stunning arch that they later used behind the head table. It looked really nice and added a consistent, elegant theme throughout the event.

Pros & Cons of the Tinsmith

As for me, filming in the atrium space at The Tinsmith was a bit of a give and take. The beautiful windows and glass made it look amazing, but it was quite echoey. To get better audio, I moved Jacob and Brooklyn into a corner, reducing the echo and creating a more intimate setting for their vows. It felt more private and the audio turned out great.

Conclusion

Overall, filming Jacob and Brooklyn’s wedding at The Tinsmith was an incredible experience. The venue’s unique style, combined with the couple’s love and the joyous atmosphere, made for a truly unforgettable day. I’m so grateful to have been part of it and to have captured these memories for them to cherish forever.
