I’ve seen a lot, heard a lot and… had a lot of great food at weddings said with a laugh so I am here to share what I’ve learned with you. If you clicked on this video, I assume you are a best man and you need some help with writing a speech. Maybe you have a fear of speaking in public, haven’t been to a wedding in awhile or simply just don’t know where to begin writing. Well you’re in luck, I’m going to share some tips with ya that can not only get you started, but have you feeling confident.
- Start Strong with an Intro
Kick things off by introducing yourself. Let everyone know who you are and how you’re connected to the groom. Set the stage with a little personality and make sure everyone’s on the same page. - Give Credit Where It’s Due
Before diving into the stories, take a moment to thank the people who made the day happen. Acknowledge the parents, the couple, and anyone else who helped put this day together. A little gratitude goes a long way. - Share Some Stories
This is where you bring out those memories that show who the groom really is. Tell a few stories that are funny, meaningful, and appropriate for the occasion. Highlight why he’s a great guy and why the bride’s a lucky lady. - Talk About the Couple
Shift gears and focus on the couple. Talk about what makes them work so well together. Show everyone why they’re a perfect match and why their relationship is something special. - Wrap It Up with a Toast
Finish your speech by raising a glass. Keep it simple, heartfelt, and sincere. Wish them a future full of happiness, and leave everyone feeling good.
